This week’s theme is guitarists who were overlooked in the Rolling Stones Top 100 Greatest list

Weather the style is of your personal taste or not – you’ve got to wonder how Rolling Stone would exclude Buckethead in their list of greatest guitarists while including marginal players like Joan Jett, Robbie Krieger or Joni Mitchell.

Did you see the Michael Jackson film "This Is It?" it's worth it for the amazing 27 year old female guitarist. She has a weird name that I can't remember, but she's been playing since she was six. It's something to see. My all-time fave -- Eric Clapton.
Wow. That's all I can say. I've heard of him, but never heard his music until now. Joni Mitchell: are you serious? Sorry, that's sad.
Never heard of him. Loved the music and the bucket.
Jayne: Orianthi is her name - funny you mentioned her - I was going to feature her as another missed guitarist from the list in a future post - she is terrific!
Unfinished: I've always enjoyed discovering gems like him who don't always get to be the most popular choice. And if Rolling Stone felt obligated to include female guitarists - see above for a true talent!
Lauren: yea, the bucket's a bit odd - but the playing is great!
